Joanne is a Herbalist, Iridologist and a wonderfully gifted Natural Healer who practises Morrell Reflex Touch, a technique which uses a combination of delicate, subtle touch predominately on the feet.  It is a technique that has been accepted internationally as both safe and effective in treating a wide range of conditions.  The unique lightness of touch allows Joanne to pick up a great deal of information about the client.  As vibrational work is applied to specific reflex, chakra and energy points the client finds themselves able to relax at a deep level, this allows the healing to be more easily received.

Arthur Wallis   www.atlasprofilax.com

I came accross an article in Kindred Spirit Issue 93 July/August 2008, about having your atlas vertebrae realigned and after visiting a very good McTimoney Chiropractor on and off for years for treatment for a recurrent problem, I decided to give it a go.  I went to Arthur Wallis in Kings Langley, Tel: 01923 270133. The treatment consists of two visits, the realignment of the atlas bone and a follow up visit.  I have noticed many changes since the treatment, not least being able to remember things more easily and my hips are now properly aligned and seem to be staying that way.  Arthur is a really interesting guy who does, among a host of other treatments, a great seated Shiatsu massage.

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir www.mandir.org

This is an absolutely beautiful Hindu Temple, it is located in Neasden, London and open to the public. The architecture is unbelievable, every surface of the marble and limestone is carved.   The best time to get there seems to be about 11.15, this gives you time to park and get through security (no cameras or bags allowed), at 11.45 a.m. there is a Throwing of Light ceremony and its wonderful to watch and take part in the blessing of the light.  There is also a museum downstairs on the history of Hinduism. Check website for times before going as they are subject to change.

Send a Cow  www.sendacow.org.uk

The perfect gift for someone who has everything!  I received a card for a gifted flock of chickens a few years ago and was so thrilled.  How it works:  You decide to give a flock of chickens on behalf of your friend. You receive a Christmas card and gift pack to personalise and send to your friend.  The gift pays for preparatory training in animal care and sustainable organic farming for a poverty-stricken family waiting to receive chickens.  After their training the family receives good quality chickens.  You can choose Bees, Fish, Rabbits, Goats, Cows, trees, water etc etc.  Its a wonderful idea and really the true meaning of Christmas.  Also a huge feel good factor.

Labryinth www.toftelabyrinth.co.uk

Tofte Manor in Bedfordshire has a Labryinth that is a copy of the Chartres Cathedral Labyrinth.  It has been lovingly created with a huge smokey quartz crystal buried at the heart of it and is piped with water following the design.  It is a wonderful place to do a walking meditation, the feeling of peace is amazing, it is set in the lovely grounds of Tofte Manor.  Water was sent for analysis, before entering the Labryinth and after it had run the whole course, to the Professor Masaru Emoto Institute, the difference is remarkable.  Open each year until the end of September, ring for appointment before going.
